Net-Zero Ambition
Onnec is committed to achieving net-zero emissions by the year 2032, aligning our efforts with the Greenhouse Gas protocol and Paris Agreement targets to combat climate change effectively. We will achieve this through reducing emissions and optimising our supply chain with increased and transparent monitoring of current carbon-emitting operations. Certified Environmental Responsibility
As an ISO 14001-certified organisation, we adhere to a structured Environmental Management System (EMS) to drive continual improvement. Plans are underway to extend this certification to our operations in Ireland and Sweden, ensuring consistent environmental standards globally. We understand the need to bring the stringent conditions of this certification to the forefront of our business to keep us, not only compliant – but ahead of the curve!
Comprehensive Emissions Tracking
We rigorously monitor Scope 1 and 2 emissions and proactively measure Scope 3 emissions to address the wider environmental impact of our operations and supply chain. We then utilise this tracking to map out our journey to both carbon neutrality and keep us compliant with Streamlined Energy and Carbon Reporting (SECR) requirements.
Localised Teams and Suppliers
We leverage our global relationships to engage local teams and suppliers wherever possible, reducing the need for extensive travel and transportation while supporting regional economies. We insist upon our partners utilising recyclable packaging, sustainable waste streams and minimising transportation impacts.
