Installing Structured Cabling and Network solution for leading streaming service
As part of our client’s drive to grow their presence in the UK, the leading subscription streaming service struck a deal to make the historic Shepperton Studios in Surrey its permanent production base. Onnec was appointed by the client to provide a fibre optic and copper data cabling infrastructure at Shepperton Studios during 2022.
The site was being considerably refurbished during the works; new underground ducts allowing for the routing of fibre optic cables were constructed, containment within buildings for the routing of copper cabling was installed and mountings to allow for the installation of data cabinets and Wi-Fi Access Points throughout the Studios were constructed.
Due to the complex nature of the site, close coordination with other trades and site contacts was vital. With the studios remaining live throughout our work, being able to react quickly and efficiently was vital in the success of the project. The completed installation carries manufacturer backed 25 year warranties, ensuring that the completed and handed works will provide reliable, flexible and high performance service for many years into the future.
